What is my total gpa

I have a 2.5 but for this semester I got:
A
A
B
C+
B
A
So what is my gpa now?
What can I do next semester to get my gpa higher?

Depends on your school lol

What grade are you in? Were all these grades in one-credit classes?

Using the conventional A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1 scale, you’d have a 3.5 (for this semester).

I am a senior. Sadly my gpa is low.

Assuming you earned eight credits each year and three credits so far this year, your cumulative GPA would be [(2.5)(24) + (4)(3) + (3)(2) + (2)(1)] / 27 = 2.96
That probably isn’t actually the case, though.

This is easy to calculate yourself.
Add up all your grade points and divide by the number of credits attempted (if you’ve never failed a class, this is the same as the number of credits earned).

Each class is 5 credits.

Same difference, as long as they’re all worth the same number of credits. The numerator and the denominator both get multiplied by five and it simplifies to the same thing.

Thank you :)

I calculated it. It’s a 3.3. So 2.5 plus a 3.3

Its 2.9 cumulative now.

At least, if averaging 2.5 and 3.3 works.

Where does the 3.3 come from? Keep in mind that the 2.5 GPA is an average over three years. It gets more weight in the calculation than a GPA you earned over one year. That’s why I asked what grade you were in.

I want to appy to Azusa Pacific university. So with a 2.9 now will that help my chances. I got a low SAT score. 1180. I took the ACT this month. I think I did better.

The 3.3 is from my senior year first semester

Assuming you earned the same number of credits each year, and you’ve earned half the credits you’re going to earn this year, your GPA would be [2.5(3) + 3.3(0.5)] / 3.5 = 2.61.

So a 2.6 would be my gpa not 2.9. I’m guessing that still won’t let me get accepted to Azusa. I wasn’t planning to go to a university until this September. I made that decision to late.
