<p>yup, I have none of my honors classes up till sophomore year counted. None of the english honors classes, and some of the social sciences and entry level math counted. The limit effectively prevents kids from getting uber high gpas…but there are loopholes of course, like taking only 4 academic a-g classes that are all AP or UC approved honors courses and then getting all As. It effectively gives you a 5.0 for that year, then do the same for the next year, and you can get a good 4.67 UC GPA.</p>
<p>Weird, my school automatically calculates UC gpa and sticks it on our transcript…after last year (my sophomore year) I had a 4.5 UC GPA…I guess it’ll go down then?</p>
<p>I think socalnick is correct. My D is ELC. Her UC GPA is 4.43.</p>
