What is next for students receiving a bachelors degree in business from Mays?

Can any of you speak to the employment and grad school admission opportunities for recent seniors who graduated from the Mays school of business? Is there a good outlook for students who graduate from the program who are not in the BHP?

I majored in finance. Most of my finance friends found jobs pretty quickly as analysts at banks, insurance companies, technology companies, etc. The people that did accounting pretty much all ended up in big 4 doing audit.

If you make respectable grades, and do accounting/finance/info you’ll have a pretty good job outlook. Management and Marketing are a little sketchier, but I know a lot of people happy with their jobs who did those too.

Grad school isnt usually the next step after mays unless you decide you want a degree other than business. The most popular masters business degree is the MBA, and you have to get work experience before getting an MBA.

Thanks Vyse, that is encouraging and at the moment finance is S’s most likely major and Mays is S’s first choice. Thanks also for clearing up the question about grad school. Does anyone else have information about career paths for Mays graduates?
