What is the avg. GPA of an accepted Bio major at competitive schools?

We all know that different majors are assessed differently in terms of GPA when transferring. For instance, competitive poli sci majors have GPAs in the range of 3.6-3.9. I am wondering what the avg accepted GPA range is for bio majors to competitive schools like USC, UCLA, etc.? I would think the range would be something like 3.4-3.6, but I could be wrong. Any insight?

i think that biology is more competative, perhaps b/w 3.7 to 3.9

wow, that seems a bit high for a bio major. I know bio is generally viewed as a harder program, so I would think that the avg GPA would be a little lower. I dont know any bio major with a 3.9.

i cant say for sure, almost all my friends who attend ucla are bio majors and they all had over 3.7 gpa.

I don’t know, but I am a “undeclared” bio major (but I wrote down biology major in my the box for my applications) with a GPA of 3.85. I got accepted to Wash U, Tufts, and College of William and Mary. (I’m still waiting to hear from CALS at Cornell.)
