What is the AWPE UC Entrance Writing Exam Like Online?

Hi everyone. I have to take the AWPE UC writing exam on May 22. Does anyone know how the exam is administered online? I know we’re supposed to read a passage then write about and connect it to something in our lives. What is the format like? Can I type on Microsoft Word first than transfer it to their screen to submit? Do they make us turn on our cameras for the exam? Any tips to do well? Thanks for your help.

Several days before your scheduled exam, you will receive detailed exam instructions by email. This email will be sent to the email address you listed on your UC admission application, not your UC campus email address. Be sure to check your spam folder as well as your inbox. The instructions will include the exam date and time, the exam URL, login instructions and exam day step-by-step instructions. This email will also note the number to call for technical support leading up to and on exam day. If you’re unable to take the exam on May 22nd, you will have other options for testing and placement through your UC campus.
