Which major provides the most financial rewards, as well as financial security. I’m tempted to assume that a major in finance is rewarding, and almost guarantees success, but I would imagine that it is a very unstable job, considering such a volatile job market.

Anyway my nominees for best major are:

-Electrical Engineering
-Finance
-Any Engineering + Degree in Business from Harvard/UPenn
-Computer Science
-Mechanical Engineering

Finance is pretty unstable unless you attend a nationally renowned business school (well I guess that’s not a problem since you listed Harvard and UPenn) AND do at least nominally well there.
Electrical engineering is widely considered… the hardest engineering track… and engineering is hard also. If you can manage it, then great, you get the financial rewards and the stability.

If you can manage it, then yes, option 3 would be the best, but it’s also the hardest. Does Harvard even have undergrad business track? I’ve always thought that the only ivies that have undergrad business program are Upenn and Cornell. Do you mean economics from Harvard?
