What is the best school I could attend?

<p>I am going to be a junior in high school next year.</p>

<p>My class schedule for next year is as follows:
Honors Pre-Calculus {equivalent to pre-AP}
Physics
AP US History
AP English
AP Spanish Language
*Possibly French II or Latin II</p>

<p>My GPA is currently 3.7 unweighted ~3.9 weighted.</p>

<p>I am a Hispanic female and would be first generation to attend college.</p>

<p>I am class president and editor of the school newspaper.</p>

<p>I am a member of various clubs, but I feel that would only take up space to list them.</p>

<p>What are some of the best schools I could get into, preferably Virginia state schools, but also looking for out of state.</p>

<p>don’t look for schools because they’re good. look for them because they’re a good fit for you :).</p>

<p>Haha what you’re saying does make sense. I do want a college that’s a good fit, but also have a lot of pressure to succeed. I would love to be a neonatal nurse or do something in design. Two completely different majors, but two that interest me greatly.</p>

<p>As far as test scores, I haven’t taken my official tests, but on the pre-ACT I got the equivalent of like a 29 average.</p>

<p>Just to directly answer your post - what is the BEST school you could get into - I’d have to say the lower Ivies. Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell…</p>

<p>That is hoping that your ACT scores get a lot better…but if you have a 3.7 and a handful of APs, you’re probably smart.</p>

<p>I would try to get a scholarship to UVA if I was in your shoes. If you like to party, then shoot for the Carolina schools like Duke.</p>

<p>What is your class rank (approximate percentage) and how good of a high school do you go to (subjective, but most students at the top high schools know they are at the top)?</p>

<p>Well I go to a good private school, but it’s also pretty small {50something kids in my class}. I’d say I’m in the top 10 or 15% of my class, but I really have no idea. My school is pretty tough, but still manageable.</p>
