I am a high school student and I am going to take the ACT or SAT soon. I was wondering what types of things I would need so that I could do my best preparation.
Any books or prep material do you recommend taking this test.
Thanks!

Prep Class – I didn’t really learn much, but it basically forced me to sit down for a few hours every week and just think about the SAT, which makes it impossible for me to procrastinate.

2.McGraw Hill’s book – basically because that’s what they bought us at the class, but other than it being a bit long-winded, I found it very helpful. It has a ridiculous amount of practice tests, which is great.

Vocab flash cards – I bought these thinking I needed them, but honestly, I wouldn’t suggest it unless you’re actually willing to spend time using them.

You definitely need the three official books for those tests. [BB/BB2 for the SAT] and the Real ACT book.

I think a lot of people here suggest that you should go through those practice tests and read all the explanations after taking each test. It’s called the Xiggi method here

The BB stand for Blue Book and BB2 stands for Blue Book 2nd Edition. Their official names are The Official Study Guide for the SAT and The Official Study Guide for the SAT, 2nd edition. Just get the 2nd edition, no need to get both. The BB has 8 tests. The BB2 has 10 tests, 7 of which are recycled from the BB.
