What is the definition of - International Student?

Someone who is born in america / american citizen but ended up completing IB outside america - would that person be considered as an international student ?

the official definition is someone who is not a resident of the US or a citizen and without a green card. But, idk about your situation. I think you are considered as a international student since you studied abroad

i mean - for international students - should we read too much into - 2016 - New York University - No self-service access for this aid year - does this signify anything - either acceptance or rejection?

An International Student is someone who is NOT a U.S. Citizen and a green card holder.

If you are talking about the FA change, it is true that there is a general consensus that it usually means acceptance, but, like u said it all depends on ur status. Even if you do or do not have it, people have gotten in even without it. Also ppl have gotten the change the day before results come out. You still have time even if u didn’t
