What is the diff tween Public service and Corporate Jobs when going to Law School

<p>One you work 80 hrs a week doing soulless, mind-numbingly boring paper shuffling with some of the biggest d-bags you’ve ever known.</p>

<p>The other is pretty similar but pays 100k more.</p>

<p>It would mean being employed by the government OR a non-profit type organization. I am going into public service doing civil rights or disabilities law. I want to work for the government or a non-profit, my overall goal is to serve people with learning disabilities but I’ll probably do a lot of different stuff before I get there. The corporate world doesn’t interest me at all, I am going to law school to gain the skills to help people, not to make money. That’s the difference.</p>

<p>That plus the 100k everyone is mentioning. I won’t be making much money doing what I want to do at all. But, on a positive note, I get federal loan forgiveness for public service.</p>
