What is the difference between a Criminal Justice Major and a Criminology Major?

What are the key differences between the two

Criminal justice is seen as a “vocational” major, that mostly prepares students to become Law Enforcement Officers.

Crimonology is a “serious academic” subject that generally leads to Law School. (Law Schools don’t like Criminal justice as a major because it’s not very rigorous.)

I’d also recommend you look at some online course catalogues to get a sense of what classes are involved with each major.
