What is the difference between ap course and ap exam prep course?

<p>While I was trying to apply for online ap course, it is said that the course is ap exam prep course. Is it the same thing or different??</p>

<p>Granted I’m not 100% sure, I’m assuming they are the same thing as the class is suppose to prepare you for the AP exam of said subject.</p>

<p>An AP course is done for credits, and is held by an educational institution. An AP prep course is done by an outside, private institution and doesn’t give you credits.</p>

<p>An AP prep course is like an SAT prep course. You take it to learn how to do well on the exam, it doesn’t necessarily teach you everything in detail about the course that you’ll need, because its not an actual academic class, its a prep class.</p>
