What is the difference between applying SCEA and RD?

<p>I know what SCEA and RD are. My question is, what is the difference between the two in terms of what the Admissions Counslers see. For example SCEA will only let the school see first quarter of senior year grades, while RD will show semester grades.</p>

<p>Stanford is my first choice, but I have rising grades and don’t want to hurt my app because I didn’t show them an extra semester of rising senior year grades.</p>

<p>If it helps, I have a 2110 Sat, 31 Act, and a rank in the 2nd 5% (which may change for better or worse with another semster) I am retaking the Act this month and I am taking 3 Sat2’s this month also. I don’t need the extra month for apps and am planning on sending them all by November 1st anyways.</p>

<p>If you think that you will have a stronger application in December (better grades, higher scores, or any major awards), apply RD.</p>
