What is the difference between BFA Acting and BFA Musical Theatre at Ithaca?

<p>What courses differentiate the 2 BFA Tracks.
Could acting majors take MT courses?</p>

<p>Hey! I’m a sophomore acting major. For the first to years, all the core curriculum is the same. We are all together in voice, movement, scene study. The MTs also take dance and classes in the music school. Junior/Senior year there is a little more of a split. </p>

<p>A lot of acting majors take voice lessons, and we also have our own dance requirement. As far as the other MT classes, they are mostly technical music type classes. MT workshop is also offered after freshman year, but that is exclusive to MTs.</p>

<p>As far as casting goes, acting majors get cast all the time in musicals.</p>

I just got in for BFA Acting and I had originally applied for MT.
I was just wondering if i could still take dance, voice, and music theory etc…</p>
