Your transcripts only post your final grades from each semester. The deadline and review period for transfer applicants are often in March/April of each spring. They want to see how you’re doing in your classes during the current semester (before official grades are posted), as of their review period. It’s to basically ensure that they’re not admitting a student who had, say, a 4.0 GPA his fall semester, but then is failing half of his classes in the spring.
