Please tell me the difference between these two textbooks, if there is one anyway.

[Amazon.com: Calculus: Early Transcendentals (Textbooks Available with Cengage Youbook) (9780538497909): James Stewart: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Calculus-Transcendentals-Textbooks-Available-Cengage/dp/0538497904/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1377720557&sr=8-5&keywords=calculus+7th+edition)

One is a newer edition–look at the publication dates one is 2010 and the other 2012
Find out what ISBN number you need (they are different). I’d assume you want the newer version (although the older edition may be available cheaper used and not much different in content).

Those are actually not simple different editions of the same “version” - the “Early Transcendentals” series presents the concepts in a different order IIRC.
