What is the meximum number of AP Classes has any one taken?

Freshmen-0
Sophomore-4 apeuro apbio ap spanish ap german
Junior- 8 apeng apush ap psych ap french ap chem ap calc ab ap calc bc
Senior- 8 apeng apgov apecon apes ap pysics ap stats ap art history ap music composition

20 apsssss

I don’t think it’s possible, in my school, to take over 10 official AP classes. However, many honors classes are equal in rigor to AP classes and most or all of the kids in them take the AP test and do very well (better, on average, than many actual AP classes in other schools). I have taken 8 AP tests (all 5) but only 3 official AP classes.

@standfordlover: it’s obvious you’re lying because you can’t take AP calc AB and BC in the same year.

At a certain point, having enromous #s of APs becomes useless.

I personally will have 11 (1 10th, 4 11th, and 6 12th), but, except for APUSH and AP Eng Lit, they have all been AP’s that are either useful or interesting. That’s the point of APs, to take advanced classes in subjects that u find interesting or would like out of the way in college.

9th - 0
10th - 2
11th - 5
12th - 7

I will have taken 14 AP tests by the time I graduate.

You guys realize that you probably won’t receive credit for most of your APs if you get accepted into a “Tier 1” College

9th-0
10th-4
11th-5
12th-7
Total:16

9th-0
10th-3 (APES 5, APHG 5, APES 5)
11th- 5-6 (APCalc AB, APChem, APPsych, AP Comp Gov, AP Micro, and/or AP Macro))
12th- 4-5 (AP Calc BC, AP Physics C Mech and/or E&M, AP English Lit, AP Stats)

Total: 12-14

“You guys realize that you probably won’t receive credit for most of your APs if you get accepted into a “Tier 1” College”

Yes, but it is still worth it.

How is it worth it?

Those $86s end up going to waste

8th: AP Bio (5) lol
9th: AP Chem (5)
10th: AP Calc BC (5), AP Comp Sci A (5), APES (5), AP Physics C: Mech (5), AP Physics C: E&M (5)
11th: AP Stats, APUSH, AP Macro, AP Micro, AP Spanish Lang (?), AP Psych
12th: AP English (one of the two), AP US Gov, AP Chinese (?), AP Art History (?), AP Comp Gov (?)
so, anywhere from 14-18, more if i feel like it
plus multivariable calc and linear algebra in 12th, so its sorta like an AP class

^Dude you’re a genius. Who takes AP tests in 8th grade and gets 5’s???

^^It’s worth it for the learning experience and the feeling of accomplishment.

^I kind of feel that he’s joshing us. This is the first I’ve seen anybody claim to take an AP exam in 8th grade.

nah i know many people who’ve done that (take one before hs)

I took a ap course in 8th grade and got a 4. It was for human geography.

^^^dylandlima, im not, i really did take AP bio in 8th.
i also know three other kids who took AP bio in 8th, two got 5’s, one got a 4.
^^^^thanx, puggly123

I have a question: when you self-study, do you have to pay for the exam, because in my school, they pay the exam if you take the class.

^ You’ll have to ask your school’s AP coordinator.

oh ok, thank you^^^

All of you guys are insane.

Sophomore: 1

  • AP World History
    Junior: 3
  • AP French Language, AP English Language, AP Studio Art
    Senior: 9
  • AP English Literature, AP French Literature, AP US Government, AP Macroeconomics, AP Biology, AP Physics C, AP Calculus AB, AP Computer Science A

Total: 13

I took 18. The valedictorian here took 20. And the valedictorian before him took 21.

A kid here even took 11 in one year.

Our rankings are basically decided by who has taken the most AP classes.
