Cornell. Duke’s buildings might be more uniform as opposed to the seemingly random blend of architectural stylings at Cornell, but nothing beats our campus’s natural beauty. Also, if you are into Gothic architecture we have very very good specimens of that as well.

I’d go with Dartmouth. Cornell is way too spread out for me, and the relative undevelopment and lack of trees gives this desert wilderness type feel. I didn’t like it.

Duke is very beautiful…god…why didn’t I apply there.

And I got a likely letter from Dartmouth…so its looking pretty good to me.

Just kidding, in all honesty. Dartmouth’s sense of compactness and continuity, along with its relatively uniform architectual style, and abundance of mansarded roofs gives this awesome 1920’s feel that cannot be experienced at Cornell. D-mouth all the way

Of the schools you listed, I’ve only been to Duke. The campus there is really beautiful, probably the prettiest of the schools I’ve visted. It also has a lot of gothic architecture. I can’t really compare it to the others though.

Duke lacked the the awe factor that Cornell just has… It’s not anything in particular, but you can only be so “awed” by an entirely gothic campus… I think that Cornell’s variety in architecture certainly enhances its beauty. Also, looking off the hill onto lake Cayuga is amazing. Cornell is certainly an amazing campus, and as Tranorix said, it just has something that most other campuses don’t… It’s just hard to put your finger on it exactly…

Cornell’s landscape is gorgeous. However, if you’re comparing buildings, Duke’s are better. I do miss the Gothic architecture, which Cornell doesn’t really have much of when compared to other Ivies (Yale is gorgeous!! <3).

I think that Duke is pretty unique in its own way. Duke, in a southern atmosphere, has nicer weather and also has nice Gothic architecture! But then Duke is a bit too south for me… Cornell has natural beauty with its hills and waterfalls!
