I want to go to a grad school with an engineering program that is highly regarded across the country. What are these schools? I know MIT but it’s highly selective. Are there any others?

This is all heavily field dependent. If you’re going for a PhD it’s also very dependent upon who your advisor is.

I cannot stress this enough. You could go to school at MIT and work for a boob of a professor (not that any necessarily work there) and you would be better off at East Bufu State working for an NAE fellow.

Can I stress it some more? Hiring for PhD’s (where you seek out the employers) is nothing like hiring for BS’s and MS’s (where the employers seek you out by visiting your college). Your advisor, the number of people that know your advisor’s name, and most importantly the people that personally know your advisor knows means everything.
