What is the name of a major that studies human minds?

<p>I’m interested in studying a field that has to do with human minds and behavior. I know that psychology studies this, but i was wondering if there are any other fields out there. The reason I don’t want to limit myself to psychology is that I’m afraid that this field, although interesting, won’t have such a good job outlook in the future, especially considering the fact that I will need to get a master’s in this field to be competitive enough in the work force.</p>

<p>Many fields could be described that way…sociology, marketing, neurobiology.
There are also many subsets within psychology that have very marketable potential, depending on how you apply yourself. One of the most effective (and expensive) jury consultants we used in a big trial had only a BA in psychology…and lots of skill and experience.</p>

<p>If you intend to work directly in the area, a masters wouldn’t add much (you’d need a PhD and likely work in a university setting). But lots of varied things you can do with an undergrad degree, just not as directly related.</p>

<p>By definition, you’ve described Psychology, but really any field Psychology touches is going to study how human behavior relates to X…</p>
