What is the probability of getting of the waitlist of top boarding schools and also what percentage of applicants are waitlisted

By top I mean really the top 10 eg exter and andover.

I am in the same situation, I got waitlisted in Exeter and Andover is it even worth keeping in touch, knowing they only take 0-15 off the waitlist. It also seems like alot of CC posters were WL to Exeter and Andover.

Very, very low overall. Mentally, it might be best to categorize a wait list decision as a soft “no.” If any consolation, it is a feat to even make a waitlist though.

This thread might be of benefit:

Well that sucks but thanks for the reality check :frowning:

does anyone know know how many people get waitlisted and also they all claim that they have no rank within the waitlist so what is admission of the waitlist based upon

From an applicant standpoint, there is no way to ever know the answer to these questions

What the school needs.

If they need a boarding female, a male or a day student isn’t getting the spot

I ask the same question

Maybe. Maybe not. It all depends

Only if they have yielded fewer FP students that they forecast.
