What is...the Quad?

<p>This is a really stupid question, but what are people referring to when they say the “Quad”?</p>

<p>Note that, despite its name, the Quad isn’t a quadrangle. It’s two quadrangles (Riepe College House and Ware College House) and a parallelogram (Fisher Hassenfeld College House).</p>

<p>I always thought it was called a quadrangle because:
Lower quad forms a quad (4 sides)
And upper quad forms a 'rangle (part of a triangle)</p>

<p>^ Dude, did you skip basic geometry on your way to advanced calculus? :p</p>
