What is the "qualifying" SAT score for ivies?

is it like 1530+? people say 1550 but it really depends on the test scale so people say plus or minus 20 is like the same thing

There is none.

it depends on the breakdown. There really is not statistical difference between 760+770=1530 and 770+780=1550 IMO. Once you’ve hit 750 on a section, scoring higher will make no difference. SAT scores are just a part of the application package and obviously each college will admit applicants with lower scores.

You can look at the published data and see it’s clearly not 1530.

Agree, there are no “qualifying scores” per se. But you can look up the average SATs for schools you are interested in to get a sense of the range.

For the old SAT, 2100 was ththe “magic number”. I think the equivalent is about 1430 on the new. You are probably going to be held to a higher standard if you are a garden-variety ORM high-achieving student.
