What is the school right for me??

I’m a rising juniorl, but I’m trying to browse at options if I’m going to apply anywhere early admin. And need some inside information aside from research I’ve done. I want to get into a good school. My dream school is Brown, but my academics this past year aren’t strong enough even if I make up for it, (4 B’s a 2 A’s) Next year I’m taking 3 APs (AP econ, AP US, AP environmental) and all honors everything else. I love learning, and I focus on the quality of my work. I strive off of my environment, and if it’s super completive I will reflect that as I will be extremely unhappy and beat myself up to be better. I predict to end my high school career w/ a 3.7 GPA, but I don’t know how my B’s this year will influence that even lower. Anyway, here is my criteria

Also-I live in Virginia, and I’m kind of tired of my options (do not like W&M and UVA) so out of state is a yes but I need good financial aid.

Liberal arts school
Intellectual Atmosphere where students collaborate rather than compete
Good writing/journalism department
Small/Medium Sized School (about 2,000-15,000 students)
Academically challenging but doesn’t consume all of my hours studying
Study Abroad Options
Happy atmosphere
Offer good financial aid and good job placement following graduation
Variety of Vegan Dining Options
Close proximity to a vibrant, living city
Pretty campus (this might seem picky, but my environment is important to me)
Also somewhat of a good party life, (not so much greek life) but just a lot of chill down to earth people

Thank you!

What are your ECs/SAT/ACT scores?

I take both this year, but my PSAT was a 1210, but I didn’t try on it at all. I didn’t even know we were taking it when i got to school that day lol. So I predict to get like a 1450 once I study for it.

My ECs are varsity tennis team, quiz bowl, model UN, and community garden service

Definitely go through some rankings of liberal arts colleges and find some that match your preferences! I think most of them will match up with a majority of your preferences. You may have a little trouble with finding an LAC near a city, though. Most of the ones I’ve looked at in my own colleges search tend to be a little more rural.
