What is the "sexiest" college?

Yeah, 21 championships in sports people don’t care about. In my opinion, a championship in Tennis should not be of equal value as a championship in football or basketball or baseball.

AirUpThere, what are the numbers for major sports championships (football, basketball, baseball and to a lesser extent, volleyball)? Does UCLA’s recent history beat UT’s?

That argument annoys me. It even annoys me when Stanford alumni use it to confirm present “dominance”.

I went to 1 football game, three basketball games, and 1 baseball game last year. I will never go to a Water polo game in my life – unless of course my girlfriend makes me.

Anyways, for athletic prowess we use the main revenue earning sports.

Who gives a crap about six titles in winning water polo.

hahahaha someone’s outnumbered.

on a different note, I would almost put UNC up there in the “sexiest” category.
granted, their football sucks, but basketball more than makes up for it.

the women are GORGEOUS, as is the campus and the entire state, for that matter.

just a thought.

I concur with hookem168!

pizzagirl is about the smartest person on collegeconfidential, so, like, chill y’all.

Boston College and Wisconsin give UCLA a run for its money in the op’s criteria. Both good in football and basketball; both recent national champs in hockey; both excellent academics; both good looking student bodies; both have campuses at least as pretty as ucla’s; both are in areas rich with off-campus activities. Ucla, wisconsin, BC…all max out their various mileaux…hollywood glitz, midwest beer party, Boston beer blast with the occasional reference to John Locke, respectively.

How does that change the fact that she’s wrong? haha.
I don’t really care if she’s smart.
If she was being sarcastic, fine. Her sense of humor may be a bit immature, but w/e.
If she was being serious, then she has deeper problems.

She’s hardly the only one in the country or on collegeconfidential that thinks you Texas guys are a bit full of y’all’s selves. We all admire y’all’s bravado and patriotism and machismo…no doubt about that. Y’all volunteer for the military in impressive numbers, to be sure. But having served a full decade in the USN and having known plenty of you Texas guys in various venues, I have to agree that you need to take a step back, take a deep breath, and acklowledge that there is a world outside the great Lone Star State.

^^ Hehe, now that’s how you mock people without being insulting.

Quite a talent you have there.

Oh, I wouldn’t go so far as to say that EVERY guy from Texas is better than EVERYone else.

Just that I, specifically, am better than everyone else

:p

On a completely serious note, we are the only state that could successfully secede from the Union if we felt like it. We’d have the 13th largest economy in the entire world.

yeah but none of those colleges have the “sexy” factor except for ucla. when you hear someone say University of Texas you cringe or atleast I do but when you hear someone say UCLA its just like “wow that person is cool”.

doesnt california have the better economy?

California has a bigger economy.

Vegas is right, Pepperdine…btw full of Texans who left Texas far behind for the sexy beaches of Malibu!

Why would people cringe? Austin is consistently rated as one of the best cities in the country and UT is a very progressive school (and fwiw, the most liberal school in the South.)

California has the BIGGER economy. Texas has the STRONGER economy. And contrary to stereotype, it extends far beyond energy.

the most liberal in the south = the most conservative elsewhere probably

jk. but i have been to austin and i dont know why texans are so proud of austin. only thing i recall good about austin texas was the bbq…

C’mon… enough with the stereotypes on both sides. California and Texas are the two most populous states in the country, with millions upon millions of people of all backgrounds and nationalities. Don’t be foolish enough to actually believe that the extremes are somehow representative of either state.

Well, it’s the national media and transplants, not Texas, that won’t stop raving about it.
