What is the ultimate prep book for CR if my aim is 800?

A book that has the best passages, that sharpens our CR…
I really want an 800 in CR, I have the blue book and Baron’s How to Prepare for the SAT. I finished the Barrons But I really want to work on the passage section, so can u guys suggest the ultimate CR prep book?

Well, I would recommend Barron 's Workbook for CR, but I think Barrons complete prep book pretty much covers all that. So at this point I would suggest more practice. There really is no ultimate CR prep book. At some point or another the section will come to test your intrinsic abilities which no prep book is really going to improve. Train yourself by practicing, that is always what CR boils down to :).

Download a practice test from college board… I think that’s like the same thing as Blue Book? That’s how I got my 800 ^.^

…I also failed the math section tho.

Getting 800 in CR is going to be very hard, just to let you know…

Yawn Everyone’s goal is an 800 (or should be). Seriously, if you want an 800, there’s no magic book that’ll help you. Just practice, study your mistakes and weaknesses, and then remedy those weaknesses. After a while, you’ll notice that your score has improved.

No “book” has any strategies that’ll help you. I’m dead serious – it’s all ********. Get the blue book, take the practice tests, and you should be good.

simple choose s strategy, use it. practice and work on ur mistakes.

I practice using the active reading strategy, doing it since last month. But there is always 2/3 mistakes I keep making this month. Tone, inference, 2 of my problems and I seem to make more mistakes on technical reading passages i.g more on science.
I am reading more Time mags now days but still…

haha if there was a book that prepped people up to get CR 800…i think it’d be more of a best seller than harry potter lolz. even Barron’s 2400 can’t guarantee it…i guess it more or less depends on talent…and your natural ability to just answer these questions…i’ve practiced like “hell” and i still can’t get an 800 lolz…

:) I didnt get the 2400 Barron’s though, I am using Baron’s How to Prepare for the SAT 2007. I was thinking bout getting the Barrons CR workbook but I kind live in a hick town so its a bit of travel to the nearest book store!! So, I want to get a good book worth the time going down there. 2 weeks till December 1st, I am getting so nervous!!

Read various types of literature.
