UVa engineering > Darmouth engineering. Hands effing down. The engineering schools that are going to “beat” UVa are GT, MIT, CalPoly, etc. And that’s because the BRIGHTEST people in their fields often end up there or come out of those places. There’s no way you can compare UVa kids to MIT grads. But, if you were accepted to MIT/CalPoly, you wouldn’t be on here trying to compare UVa engineering to Dartmouth.
So, follow Dean J’s advice and search. There’s been A LOT of talk about the engineering school recently.

PS- i’m about to be a BS grad from the e-school, and I, like all of my peers, have post-grad opportunities that would beyond amaze you. All people seem to care about these days are jobs jobs jobs. But, if you look beyond that, you’ll realize UVa engineering is good for stuff like a broad education, specialized departments that are top-notch, a magnitude of research/internship opportunities, and a beautiful school.
