<p>The USN&WR world rankings are simply a reproduction of the QS World University Rankings, which is published by Times Higher Education, a British magazine.</p>

<p>true the rankings does not make sense to preconceptions of how US schools should rank- JHU is a very very strong research university. Its undergrad might not be seen as extraspectacular by some haters lol.</p>

<p>This may be a stupid question but… how can some US Universities be higher than other US universities on the world rankings when they are lower than them on the US rankings?</p>
