What is Yale to a future Screenwriter??

So basically I’ve been looking at Yale. And although its a great school, beautiful campus, great as a research but also dedicated to the arts. Basically the best of both words. However I would like to ask those about Yale’s English department. I just want to know what makes Yale better than lets say NYU Tisch or Columbia’s English department. I want to be a screenwriter/author. How can Yale get me there and get me there in a big way. i.e alumni, faculty that are great authors etc. :)

Yale won’t get you there. What it can do is provide a rich array of opportunities – classes, professors, activities and, above all, talented classmates. You would have to figure out how to make best use of the possibilities – as have many successful Yalies before you. If you haven’t already Googled your way there, you’ll find a list of Yale folks in a variety of fields, including film, at [List of Yale University people - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](<a href=“List of Yale University people - Wikipedia”>List of Yale University people - Wikipedia).
