what is your favorite book?

Just wondering.

Little Women!

three (because i can’t choose just one of anything):

the awakening
jane eyre
stiff: the curious lives of human cadavers

I really feel embarrassed to say it but my favorites are those dinky little fantasy boks like Harry Potter or The Amulet of Samarkand

Everyone should read A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole. Depending on your sense of humor, you may or may not consider it a phenomenal book. I found it funny. But it is also awesome because multiple plots weave throughout the book so well that it never gets boring! Plus, the main character Ignatius is extremely interesting–even though he may be rather repulsive at times. Really! Check it ouuuuttt!!!

The Bread Givers

Bonfire of the Vanities by Tom Wolfe… so 80s, so awesome!

The Fountainhead

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

Yes, I’m a Lord of the Rings dork/freak

The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsover. Ive read it about 500 times and I still cry like a baby through the whole thing.

Gone with the Wind
Jane Eyre
Uncle Tom’s Cabin

the awakening? how can you like that book? hmm… maybe if I hadn’t read it at school (an all girls school to, to make it even worse) I wouldn’t have hated it so much… if you liked it though, read Madame Bovary, it’s basically the same plot but better writing

Catcher in the Rye

Harry Potter series

Memoirs of a Geisha

oooh memoirs of a geisha… sooooo good!! i also cry at the end of that. i guess i cry a lot.

Harry Potter Hands Down!

the fountainhead, of human bondage, slaughterhouse five

yeah, i read the awakening voluntarily. i started reading madame bovary but i haven’t finished it yet…and doubt i will soon. i really liked kate chopin’s writing…i even read all of those short stories in the back. of course, i’ll probably dislike it next year when we read it for school.

harry potter is the mcdonalds of literature. cheap and embarassing, but oh so good.

Lord of the Rings

Celebrian, that’s kinda obvious given your CC name :)

Catcher in the RYe
