What is your favorite food that you love ,even though it is not healthy ?

Mercury would affect all fish, not just uncooked fish. Thre was a big to-do a few years ago about the mercury in canned tuna.

What is the difference between ice cream and gelato? I haven’t noticed any.

Candy. Not chocolate. I’m talking pure, unadulterated SUGAR. Sweettarts, sour patch kids, sour gummy poppers, jelly beans, spree, gumdrops, smarties, you name it. I’m quite the conisseur. A co-worker of mind shares my vice, sometimes we order big bulk bags of candy to last us through busy times. I try to convince myself that since it’s low in fat, it’s okay…

TutuTaxi—I’m coming to your house for lunch!

Parent 1986 :Gelato (the Italian word for ice cream) implies the Italian process for creating ice cream and it has a lower fat content and a higher sugar content. Gelaterie generally also use egg yolks to stabilize the product and create it’s unique texture. Because of the low fat content for most Gelato, (in American stores)it can’t be legally labeled ice cream. Gelato is best made fresh, kept at a lower temperature than American ice cream, since it does not hold its flavor or texture very will after a period of a few days.

jym626, LOL on filing that claim with Nutella. I did the same thing and hoping that I will be rewarded with some $$ so that I can buy more Nutella. Of course, I will be buying it regardless of whether I am an approved claimant. (I had a jar of Nutella confiscated by the TSA at LGA earlier this year as I tried to bring it to kiddo in college. I asked if it was a gel, an aerosol, or liquid. Got no satisfactory answer and told the TSA agent, “Have a nice lunch!”)

mm, thanks! I’ve only had gelato in Italy, and it was covered with extras so you didn’t notice the difference.

In the US I think I’ve seen gelato at Whole Foods?

I don’t go to whole foods, but we have a neighborhood gelato shop.

I like the hazelnut, h likes the pistachio.

Justamom, I think sugar is probably worse than fat, but since you are going to eat it anyway, save some sour skittles for me.

I remember bazooka joe bubble gum from the machines on the Bainbridge ferry.

Home made tacos
Cosmos

Mmm…sounds like a wonderful lunch? What will we be having for dessert? : - )

Yum BLT lunch…homemade, warm cookies for dessert.

My favorite naughty foods: butter, cookies, whole milk in my coffee. I don’t eat red meat except for bacon in BLTs!

How about gelato with VH’s chocolate sauce and nutella?

And momof3- Lets compare notes and see if we get any $$. You do know they sell gigundo sized jars of Nutella at Costco, yes? And of course, you have to but 2 of them. What a shame. http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?prodid=11502391&whse=BD_823&topnav=bd&cat=10693&hierPath=9896*10038*10034*10693*&lang=en-US

Apparently Nuttela has been sued and you can get a coupon for free Nuttela, or part of the settlement.

You guys are outlawing some of my favorite food groups – chocolate, brie, buffalo wings…

My favorite dark chocolate…

Salazon Organic Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt. It satisfies the four cravings: sugar, salt, fat, and chocolate. It’s made here in Maryland so I can consider it eating locally.

Also, those little Bacis by Perugina. Don’t forget each one comes with a “love fortune” on the wrapper - in 4 languages - and in very fine print.

Haagen-Daz dark chocolate bars.

In N Out cheeseburger…'nuff said.

Warm krispy Cream doughnuts…
I enjoy even being able to drive by the bakery because the smell is so yummy. I never stop though because they make me sick to my stomach.

Chocolate is another favorite. I could eat chocolate every day. When i was younger i used to eat cookies or pie(if it was near Christmas time) for breakfast with coffee. Can’t do that anymore either i get the jitters that probably mean hypoglycemia.

Fried chicken, fried calamari, fried eggplant, there are so many fried delights that i just love. I like my moms fried goodies the best. She uses a light batter and you eat it when it is hot and fresh.

I think my favorite food of all is probably avocados and anchovies. That is probably not that bad for you though. It has all that good cholesterol and all.

In & Out Cheeseburger plus the milkshake.
Donuts
BLT( but I think this is healthy :D)
