I just recently got into the world of Wii games. So far, I have tried Wii Sports and Wii Fit, and I must say that these games are a lot of fun! My sister tells me that DDR ( Dance Dance Revolution) is also very entertaining, but others have told me that it’s very hard. What are your thoughts on DDR? Do you have any favorite Wii games that you can recommend? Thanks!

P.S. Oops, sorry, I should have posted this in the Parents Cafe Forum.

My husband and I really like MarioKart. We also thought that Wii Fit was a lot of fun when we tried it out at a friend’s house, but toddling youngsters pressing on one side of the balance board tend to skew the results badly. If you don’t have this issue to contend with, it might be worth a look.

We’re looking forward to the day when Nintendo realizes there’s a market for Sousaphone Hero (thank you, The Onion) and Symphony Symphony Revolution (conduct your own orchestra!).

I bought a Wii solely to get more exercise. Based on that…

I have DDR and use it for fun aerobics. It’s very hard at first but with regular practice it gets doable. You can turn some options off to make it easier at first. You have to concentrate so hard that you forget what a workout it is! Mostly, you want to be in a room by yourself.

I also have Fit, but I wish it had more entertaining aerobic options. I use it quite a bit - mostly aerobics and strength. The balance games are fun, but not much for exercise.
