When you look back , what elements were in a day you thought was memorable ? For me ,it would involve spring or fall weather ,some shopping ,like a craft fair ,and a meal that was different than I usually ate ,and delicious .It could be with my spouse or any family members . It could be nearby or abroad . How about you ?

I had a week of then on vacation last year… Wake up to the sound of the ocean… Sit outside on the ocean front balcony and read a book… Go out for a delicious lunch… Hit the beach for a little… Shower… Go for an amazing dinner… Then retire back to the hotel room with a book, a boardgame or a movie… So relaxing!!! Of course if every day was like this they wouldn’t exist as no work would get done and I wouldn’t be able to afford it!

Several: a day in Maui with my family…a day in New York city with my family…a day in Paris or London…with my family

Am I the only person whose perfect day would be alone, in my house, which the Magic Cleaning Fairies have made spotless (and the Magic Laundry Fairies have spent some time in)? I’d watch exactly what I wanted on TV, take a nap, eat unhealthy food, have a glass of wine, get to bed early.

any day that i can see both of my boys at the same time. doing anything. i miss being with them so much…just to laugh, talk, visit, share stories…it never happens often enough!

Spending time with the kids doing something we all enjoy. Maybe the theater, and dinner or some nice vacation. Watching them interact. We are blessed that the kids get along as well as their significant others.

You’re singing my song! This is exactly what would be special and exotic for me.

Not to put a downer on the thread, but any day when I don’t have a cancer diagnosis.

(Cancer free over twenty years here.)

That’s an upper!

I have a lot of ‘perfect’ days. The day I spent hiking alone in Yosemite National Park. I didn’t see another person for hours and hours. I had paradise to myself.

A morning spent playing a hard tennis match followed by an afternoon curled up with a really absorbing book.

Most days, I settle for a day with no stupid errands to run or forms to fill out, or no bad news of any kind.

The first day of vacation at the beach. For some reason, the first day feels EXTRA long while as the vacation progresses the days go faster. The day includes some exercise walking on the beach, some lounging with reading material on the beach, simple delicious food that doesn’t take long to prepare, all members of the family present, a trip to the nearby small town for the best ice cream ever and a calm warm night to sit out at the fire pit for hours and with no deadlines. :)

Skyhook: That is NOT a downer. As a five year survivor I treasure the days that I feel ok. I am grateful for everyday that I feel “normal”. Survival (not necessarily the process in getting there) is perfection…in and of itself.

A writing session that goes well, followed by a kayak outing with H where the tides and wind are always on our side, then either a dinner we cook together or a dinner out.

The NASDAQ above 3,000 and the Dow Jones above 13,000.

Skyhook and ellebud, I completely agree. When I first saw the title of the thread that is exactly what I thought of. I have been battling stage four colon cancer since 2007 and I have only been cancer free since June of 2011 so every day that I’m living my normal life is my perfect day!

A perfect day would be where I didn’t see any bizarre punctuation or spelling on the internet and when everyone made sense!

I’m with MyLB and Zoosermom.

Viewer: You Go!!!

I hope today (and millions of tomorrows) are perfect days.

Disney World Bro :D

I may be a student still but i’ll ■■■■■ this section anyway:
A perfect day for me would be to wake up some day during Christmas break to walk down stairs to see a thick package from my college of choice (UIUC at this point) sitting by my front door, then feel the ultimate sense of satisfaction and relief.
