What is your internet speed?

  1. 5 on an awesome day. We get very few awesome days :( On Frontier. Justamom can feel better with her 15, because you don't get a better deal for a worse speed on Frontier. $85/mo includes an unneeded landline.

There are no quicker alternatives where I live, which is on a state highway within an hour of major areas. I just laugh when I hear gov’t say they want high speed for everyone. Sadly, no one really cares about the infrastructure in rural areas /end of rant/

I am disappointed that Verizon FIOS is not available in my area. I don’t want to see monopoly.
I hope some day everyone has decent speed.

For all the ads, Verizon has stopped expanding FIOS coverage.

A few months ago I did the verizon FIOS speed test and the results were terrible - turns out I had a very old (first generation) router. Verizon replaced it and now we are at the speed they say we are supposed to be at. Both up and down are 58 + Mbps.

I am waiting for some new technology to get rid of all forms of cable. TWC, ATT Uverse, Verizon FIOS will not be able to match. The pCell technology may come true:

Down81.
Up53.
But- it’s not Comcast and only $25
I’ve also never updated my modem or router.

Justsmom5465: You are doing quite well with Frontier DSL compared to me lol. Right now I have 1.13 download and .15 upload speed. I pay 39.99 a month for this privilege.

I would gladly pay double for something faster. No cable available in my area and I have heard satellite is not worth the money. Best Buy won’t even let me access my Digital Download Library because my internet connection is too slow.

1 mbps, lol.

I live out in the middle of the desert in California so we don’t have a lot of high speed options. We are supposedly getting Verizon FIOS soon though.
