Now that I have had my iPhone for several weeks, I am still amazed at the applications available for this phone. I am embarrass to say that I find myself playing with the phone more than I should!

I love having Wikipanion available and the whole family has enjoyed Shazam. My favorite game is Bejeweled 2 which is the only application I have that was not free. I had Bejeweled on my Palm for years so wanted it on my iPhone also.

I am still trying to decide on a grocery shopping application. Several have features I like and don’t like, so I am trying to decide which to download. Others I am thinking about adding are AP Mobile News Network, Accuweather, and some sort of to do list.

Other applications I have are Urbanspoon, Opentable, Facebook, Google, Flixster, The Weather Channel, and a few games for the family to play with.

I also have urbanspoon, google, weatherbug, and my favorite–solitaire. I’m really going to have to look at some more applications. I didn’t realize there was one for grocery shopping.

^^ I LOVE my solitaire game. I think I paid either 99 cents or $1.99 for it, but it’s worth every penny. I use it in doctor’s waiting rooms, planes etc.
I also like facebook (essential) and MagicEightBall (so I can make decisions).

iCopter is amazing. It’s $.99 is intensely addictive. My high score is only 2700 and the all-time World high score is in the tens of thousands.

Shazam - hold up your iphone to any song that’s playing for 30 seconds, it will listen then give you the song title.

Well my verizon phone does * that*- but while ATT is too spotty for this area- I am seriously looking at refurbed ipod touch for D to take on her travels.

In terms of paid apps, I am very happy with my to-do application named “Todo”. It allows you to organize your to-dos into categories and indicates outstanding to-dos on the application icon (like Msil indicates unread emails). For free apps, I like the Constitution (always handy to have), a unit converter called Cambio and a solitaire game set called Sol Free.
