If I don’t get into Cal or UCD, I might stay another year at CC. It’s depressing to think about, but settling seems almost as bad.

@empathyinanarchy: yeah i was thinking about staying at CC for another year if i dont get into UCB, but when i really think about it, its a little illogical, but to each his own…

@ empathyinanarchy and CalBearGuy: lol I’ve been thinking the same thing. If I don’t get into Berkeley, I really don’t know what I’ll do. I definitely don’t want to settle for back-ups, and I love Berkeley so much. I’m even a member of their Association of Psychology Undergrads! Don’t worry though; I signed up. It wasn’t like I was invited or anything lol.

Anyway, I just can’t see myself anywhere else.

maybe i shouldnt settle for my backups too! screw cal and ucla. its stanford or bust. im going to a cc if i dont get into stanford! LOL<—really bad idea btw

@CalBearGuy It depends on what you do during that year. Given that I’ve finished all prereqs, I could take classes outside of my major (or classes related to my major that don’t transfer) or start a business. I guess it’s illogical if I’m going to school to get a job and make money, in which case graduating sooner is more favorable than later; more experience yields greater pay. But I’m not going to school to make money, so I’m not sure I’m working under these time constraints. If my goal is a world class education, it seems pretty rational to wait.

Then again, if they don’t accept a 4.0 with all prereqs done, I’m not sure waiting another year is going to change anything.
