What it's like to Own an Apple Product

[What it’s like to own an Apple product - The Oatmeal](What it's like to own an Apple product - The Oatmeal)

That comic pretty much sums up the experience (although it may not be that epic).

I think you mean:
This comic pretty much sums up the experience for the typical unfunny Apple-bashing computer nerd.

Fact: people who constantly bash Apple are just as pathetic, if not more pathetic, than those who are obsessed with Steve Jobs’ every word.

I didn’t mean it in an “apple-bashing” way. Just pointing out the constant releases and new “generations”.

What was the real difference between the iPhone 3G and the 3GS. And I’m almost certain that the new iPads will have a camera and some other small and useless feature.

Sorry, but any comic with “iPride” in the first few slides is a little too biased.

Believe me, I’m no Apple fanboy. Yes, they release new products without significant upgrades. Then again, so does pretty much every other company on the face of the planet.

Haha. This sums up human nature.

Everyone wants the hip, new and trendy thing, and Apple is great at making and marketing them.

Sure, they’ve produced a huge fan-base, of which, many of these people buy almost every new Apple product (no matter how minor the update. Iphone 3g to 3gs, anyone?), but no one goes to this extreme.

Funny comic nonetheless.

And Pandem, for every mac hater, there is a windows hater (and they generally have the same insults towards windows, as mac haters have towards mac).

I don’t really think there are as many “windows haters”.

More like “I don’t know much about computers and Macs are easy to use, so therefore I don’t like windows.” Along the lines of ignorance, and I mean that in the strict lack of information sense.

“I don’t know much about computers and Macs are easy to use, so therefore I don’t like windows.”

That is, with some adding and mixing of letters, the prime argument for every anti-mac user. At least from my observation.

Come to think of it, I suppose you are right. I don’t see as much bashing of Windows. But then again, there are far less people using non-Windows operating systems (Linux, Mac OS), so it may just be that because there are far fewer Mac users, their mockery of Windows doesn’t seem as escalated.
