Is it good enough to go to NYU?</p>

<p>Hi huigraceli…It also depends on the country or region you reside in. For instance in Kenya anything above 1900 is considered enogh for Ivy league if your other academic stats are a fit. In the early decision round someone from my coutry got into yale with a 1900 and another into Harvard with 1950. The person who can best answer that is your school counselor or admission advisor in your region.

<p>Are you a junior? If you are, will you retest. I would try to get that M+CR score higher…above 1400.</p>
<p>What is your major? NYU probably has different expectations for Stern than it does for - say - Tisch.</p>
<p>That said…I dont know if NYU is “need aware” for int’ls. If so and you’re a “full pay” then that might help. NYU doesn’t give much aid, so if you needed aid, it won’t work. Don’t know if it gives any aid to int’ls. Maybe none.</p>
<p>For domestic students the 25% to 75% marks are 1860 to 2170. A 2080 seems within this range. It depends for international students though based on your country. The less developed your country is the lower your score needs to be.</p>
<p>Also that Math score is outstanding so if you are applying as a science/engineering major they’ll look at it more.</p>
<p>You should though work on the english score although this might be understandable if you are from a non-english speaking country.</p>

<p>There are a lot of schools that would love to have a foreign student with a 2080 SAT. Have you looked at Arizona State? Go Devils!</p>

<p>That might be harder then because city dwellers usually have more recourses at their disposal than rural people.</p>
