<p>I have a 4.0 average, got a 196 on the practice PSAT, pretty excellent ECs. I’m a sophomore. What do you think? I like UW-Madison and UM-Ann Arbor but idk yet.</p>
<p>Start visiting colleges in your area to get an idea of what you want in a college - large, small, location/setting, living accomodations, cost, etc. You’ve got to have some criteria before we can start suggesting colleges.</p>
<p>Sounds like you’re on track to get into some really good schools. The two schools you’ve named are both large public universities in the midwest. Are you interested in smaller schools as well? Private schools? LACs? What about location - how do you feel about distance, weather, urban vs. rural? Do you have any idea what you want to study, or if there are any particular sports or ECs that you want to continue in college?</p>
<p>You may also want to talk to your parents and find out how much they can and will help with tuition, and how important financial aid will be. If aid is going to be a big deal, you should make sure you seek out schools that have reputations for giving good aid, or schools that are slightly below your test score/GPA range where you could get better merit aid.</p>
