I’m attending a formal long gown function in a couple weeks. My dress is strapless, with lots of rhinestones on the bodice. The rhinestones aren’t clear, so clear rhinestone earrings won’t work, maybe. They have color in them, clear, pink, blue, lavendar…depends how you turn it and it’s very faint…but not clear. I will wear long earrings, no necklace of course. Maybe just silver, or something the color of the dress? Not sure.
I found these, but don’t want to pay $64. Would that be too much rhinestone?

I was doing a sartorial consult with a friend a few days ago and tried seven different pairs of earrings with my dress. To my surprise, simple pearls totally set off the dress. I’d thought the flashy glass beads that were the same colors would be better but they just drew their own attention as opposed to enhancing. So my advice: try what you’ve got, something may work.
