<p>fall 2009 will be my second semester at a community college as i prepare to transfer in fall 2010. i’m hoping to study abroad in thailand, cambodia, laos, and vietnam in the spring because i’m a cultural studies major and think that it would really help boost my appeal to schools.</p>
<p>right now, my top school is bard college. my grades from high school are laughable, but i’ve got a 3.8 right now from last spring’s semester at cc.</p>
<p>so basically, i’m trying to do everything i can to improve my resume, and was thinking about finding an internship as a research assistant for something in my area of study. however, i have no idea where to begin. i’d also want to it be part time because i don’t want it to jeopardize my gpa. </p>
<p>any suggestions?</p>
