<p>It looks like some colleges are getting together to create their own college application. Who will select which colleges will join? And now students will have to apply using this application AND the common application? Sounds like more work!</p>
<p>You didn’t read the article very carefully. It says Penn is considering using this potential new app in lieu of CA. Did you miss that?</p>
<p>@T26E4 I think you misunderstood my post. I meant that students can use this new app for "Elite " schools but if they apply to schools that aren’t part of this elite group they will have to also complete the common app. So now these students will have 2 different types of apps to complete.</p>
<p>Two is still better than the pre-CA days. You apply to 5 schools, you fill out five apps.</p>
