What kind of schools should I apply to?

<p>Rather than asking for chances at any specific school, I’m wondering what sort of applicant I am based on my credentials. So based on what follows, what school/schools would be good for me?</p>

-Interests: Not sure of a major, but my biggest interests are English and Neuroscience</p>

-Weighted: 101.3 (Don’t have UW yet unfortunately)
-Rank: 15/~700</p>

-Sophomore: World History (5)
-Junior: English Lang, US His, Psychology, Physics B (Awaiting Scores)
-Senior: English Lit, Microeconomics, Calculus BC, Government, Latin, Biology</p>

<p>Scores:

  • 2230 SAT (760 M, 750 CR, 720 W)
  • Awaiting ACT score
  • SAT IIs: US History (800), Latin (800), Physics (740)</p>

<p>ECs:

  • Band member for 4 years, Saxophone Section Leader for 2
  • Various awards for saxophone at the regional level
  • Principal tenor saxophone player at my school
  • Sophomore year an art work of mine received a IV (Superior) rating at VASE art contests at the regional and state levels
  • Various Latin awards at the Area, State, and National Levels (most recently including 1st in Texas)
  • Latin NHS, three gold medals and 2 perfect scores on National Latin Exam
  • Latin Club social chair junior year, president senior year

  • Junior year qualified and competed at the national level in Quiz Bowl, will be captain next year.
  • Since 9th grade I’ve operated the light board at a local church; it’s a pretty unusual skill requiring a lot of technical knowledge.
  • Since 10th I’ve been in a handbell group at the church which regularly performs at free concerts and at a retirement home.</p>
