I have worked as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor at the YMCA for over a year now but I am not sure if this counts as being in the hospitality industry. As a Lifeguard, we are expected to greet and interact with customers. Of course there is a lot of interaction with the children I teach but I also communicate with their parents. Is this appropriate work experience?
