anyone? i wanna know which ones are reaches and which ones would be safeties. I have an updated list.

Stanford
Berkeley
USC
UCHicago
Cornell
John HOpkins
UCLA
Gtown

thanks!!!

Hm… impressive. Yeah, maybe work a little more on your SATIs? otherwise I would say you have a pretty decent shot at these here ![]()
Good Luck!!!

thanks. yeah i am gonna take the sat i this weekend. so which ones do u think are safeties? or are there any in that list?

u really got a shot at all ur schools. i really dont see why they would deny you. everything is REAL strong

seriously or jk?

…if you’ve taken/are taking all of those APs and have a 4.0 unweighted, how do you only have 4.13 weighted???

our school has this weird system where they only add a really small amount onto ur unweighted gpa to figure ur weighted one. strange

junglebum:

UCB/UCLA: Match (out of state)

are there any schools you guys would recommend for my stats if i wanna go to med school after undergraduate degree?

help…

im dying here

eh…10char

Okay it’s kinda annoying that you keep bumping it…but I would say you have a strong shot anywhere, especially because of your web company/soccer…as captain of a team that won states and ODP you should have some recruitment possibilities, maybe D1? At least at some smaller and equally good LACs. Definitely look into getting recruited. How far in ODP have you gotten? That could help a lot.

made state team but not regional team. i dont really intend to pursue soccer

Apply to Duke!

Well, it wouldn’t hurt to contact the coaches at your favorite schools to see if you could possibly be a recruited walk on. This could be the thing that tips you over into the accepted pool of applicants. You have to be the judge if one year of playing soccer (the min. you would have to commit to) is a good trade off for admission. Just opening a dialogue with a coach can lead to talks with admissions people and might turn out to be informative even if you eventually choose not to play in college.

junglebum, keep this in mind

when we say that you’re within reach, or you’re a match at all these schools, it means that you have the potential to get in. college admissions are more and more competitive every year, and no one knows exactly if you’ll get into these schools.

I’d be surprised if you were accepted at more than half of them, but that’s not because your stats are by any means weak, just that when you get to that high level of academic competition, it really is random.
