<p>Higher SAT and you have a good chance at UNC.</p>
<p>You sound like the prototype test case for Wake’s new SAT optional policy. As a Wake alum, I’ve gotten e-mails explaining the humanitarian motives behind the policy. Frankly, I think it helps them to be able to take students like you whose scores are somewhat below their average, so that they don’t have to calculate in the lower scores when reporting SAT averages.</p>
