From my mother who was very sick with cancer" When I die if you cannot carry on, I have failed as your mother.
My dad said “Into each life, some rain must fall” and to my 4 sisters he said “It’s just as easy to fall in love with a rich boy”
Not forgiving others, hurts you more than it hurts them.

My dad:
Don’t own or ride a motorcycle. A motorcycle is nothing but a ride to the hospital.
My dad: Always give yourself plenty of time to get to the airport. My mom: A place for everything and everything in it’s place.
Not sure where I heard this one but I like it:

Save money.
I think the wisest one my dad told me that as a parent I can appreciate now, is you can’t take the falls for your kids, that they need to skin their knees and fall down and learn to get up. Doesn’t mean it is easy to watch, or that you can’t help them when they fall down on their butt to get back up and fight another day, but in the end they need to learn, and it often isn’t pretty.
