what literature should be read?

which literature should be read that would help on the sat I?

Barron wil tell you in the appendix of the reading.

The book suggests that SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN must be read!

By the way, i am busy now, when i have time i will give you a list which appers in the barron.

economist to get you use to boring ariticles (for most people it’s boring). New Yorker so you get a taste from different styles of articles.

go to collegeboard, they have the top books for college bound students. Those are all pretty nice.

^do you have a link for that list? I was looking and couldn’t find it.

I’d found it before and meant to save it, but never did…

The Economist isn’t that boring…

IntlCher,

I agree! Maybe I’m old, but I find the Economist a rather brisk read after doing hours of political science/IR reading…

Of course, this is all comparative, so who knows?

yea, but most high school kids think economist is dry and boring. They would rather READ people magazine or maxim or seventeen…sport illustrated…etc.

vegangirl-<a href=“Stay Motivated – BigFuture | College Board”>College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools;

Lol… and I’m eighteen. It really depends on your interest. I find the Economist biased sometimes though - though almost all reading material is biased, human nature…

The Economist’s bias is libertarian in nature. However, the nice thing about the paper is that you can easily find the bias and sort through it. This is in contrast to many American papers, where the bias is usually well hidden.

thanks betterday!

Here;s what the College Board itself recommends:

sorry if someone has already posted these

So basically they give you a list of classics?

not all are classics. But they’re all pretty general AP English type books

and reading classics helps with vocabulary and reading comprehension.
