What little things bother you?

Oh, I moved from a self-bagging state to a state where they bag for you. I much prefer to bag my own.

Focusing on the negatives! Although I DO feel a lot of kinship for these little things, I’d rather not dwell on negatives.

Oops, too late to edit.
I HATE the shopping carts left in the parking lots.
And about those shopping carts… I park by one, I take it in. Or I take in two when I take mine back. Sometimes you can be part of the solution.

I am bothered that some delivery drivers leave our packages at the base of the front door instead of 2 feet off to the side so the packages are hidden from street view by the porch wall.

In an effort to get those delivery drivers to change where they leave the packages, we posted a note on the window pane of the front door. It hasn’t worked.

I think we need a note at the foot of the door, where the packages are being set down, and where the delivery drivers are more likely to see it.

Hmmmm…a good excuse to laminate something!

I get upset when I get home and the bagger has put the pie or brownies sideways.
The bananas under something so they bruise. They think that because it is frozen it is ok to put it
sideways…I have become the bagging monitor B-) .
Sadly, it seems to be the younger clerks. Doubt they have ever truly bought groceries and looks like
their training has been poor.

I get irritated when my Costco pack of yogurts get put sideways! I don’t eat “fruit on the bottom” and don’t want it mixed with the yogurt. I always grab it out of the cashier’s helper’s hands.

^^^^Why don’t you buy plain yogurt?

Because I like my yogurt this way - just the right amount of sweetness and flavor. And I hate to scrape yogurt off the lids. If the pack does not get shoved in the cart sideways or worse yet upside down, the lids are clean and can be tossed without a major mess.

My blood pressure just went up thinking about the clerks with runny noses who wipe it with their hand back
or even the front. Then they pack my food without washing. This has happened at a particular Trader Joe’s a number
of times (different cashiers). I now walk around and look at each cashier before choosing my lane. And would step
out of line if I could see signs of illness or a runny nose.

I also refuse to get out of my line to go to a shorter one at the manager’s wave. It always backfires for me so
I just say no.

Our grocery store started shutting down all full-service lanes at 9 pm. The service desk says “14 ITEMS OR LESS.” I like to shop at night and I usually have a full cart. I asked them what to do and they told me to go to the service desk! I’ve spoken to a manager twice - if you’re going to run things this way, turn the 14 items light OFF, at least! They ignored me both times. :frowning:

I feel I should clarify when I “helped” the shopper realize she was in the express line, it had no belt or counter for her to unload her groceries on, only a small counter between you and the cashier. It really was set up for people with just a few items. I was surprised to learn that the employees are not allowed to enforce the 15-or-less rule.

Well, if they are little squished, you might have to test them right away to make sure they still taste ok.

I hate plastic bags at the store. Either use my reusable bags I bring in well or fill those plastic bags FULL. I hate when they put maybe two things in a bag and then use a dozen bags.

When I say please don’t bag the milk, big sacks of potatoes or oranges - but they put them in a bag anyway.

At Costco when they look at me funny because I don’t want a box. I’d rather make several trips from the car to the kitchen then have to deal with that big honker box they want to give me!!

We keep bags and plastic crates in the car for Costco shopping. I unload the stuff out of the cart into those and take them home one by one.

I am irritated when someone sits in your roomy exit row seat on an airplane, and then when you tell them they are in your seat, they know instantly where their seat really is." Oh gee, is this row 13? Oops, I’m in row 12." Um…I didn’t mention what row it was, so…how did you immediately know you were in row 13 and didn’t question whether I was correct?

I am also irritated when I’m sitting at a table and someone farts as they walk by, leaving you with the “present” and they get away free and clear. :open_mouth:

Sometimes air travel is just not great!

@busdriver11 Should I apologize for my husband now? To save his dignity, I will not divulge which of the above he is guilty of =))

@snowball…the things us wives must suffer with.

I saw this and thought of all you chewing noise haters.

I am irritated.

Thanks for that reminder, @doschicos <said in="" “vocal="" fry”="">
