I just wanted to know how many hours a week a person should have to seem dedicated to an activity cuz I have many but I don’t want to seem as if I’m not dedicated to them.

I read applications, and usually what I am looking for when it comes to dedication is a sustained involvement in an activity. So even if you’re doing something for only one hour a week, if you do it for 35 weeks a year and you did that activity for four years, then that’s dedication to me. I’m more impressed by something like that as opposed to an activity that you dedicated 10 hours a week to but only did for two weeks back in the 10th grade.

for what school do you read applications?

I think and true passion/dedication will be evident after reading an application. In my case, I attended different high schools in different places so I wasn’t able to continue the same EXACT activity all through high school. But instead I realized the things I liked to do and adapted my interests to new programs/activities at each place. I think for some people dedication is as simple as 4 years but for some it can shine through in other ways.
